The Village
TThe village of Les Gets is set at a height of 1172m in the Haute Savoie , France. It is one of 13 ski resorts that make up the massive Portes du Soleil ski area. Les Gets emerges as a tiny corner of paradise that everyone would like to keep secret, it is a traditional French alpine village that has retained its savoyarde charm through its architecture of natural stone and wooden chalets.
It is a resort of high alpine pastures and pine forests where spectacular panoramic views abound. The many ski runs are for all standards of skier and snow boarders.
he Hotel Christiania is only a very short walk to the resort's nightlife and shops. Les Gets has a great choice of ski shops whether looking to hire or buy equipment or clothing. The two shops we would particularly recommend are BERTHET SPORTS and DELAVAY SPORTS where discounts have been arranged for all hotel guests.
There is a courtesy shuttle bus that operates around the village, particularly popular with kids as it is a small electric train and carriage.
Thursday is market day when a vast array of local produce and clothing is available for purchase at extremely attractive prices.
